About the artist

Sylvester Buhl is a Danish painter based in London.

Born in 1998, his journey of creating began in the rolling hills of the historic coastal town of Ebeltoft, Denmark. After practicing plein-air with his mother’s old paint tubes during his teens, he decided to pursue higher artistic training in 2022 and moved to Mölndal, Sweden to study at The Florence Academy of Art/Sweden. He graduated in December 2024 and after teaching the Visual Anatomy class at school for two years, he moved to London in 2025, seeking the inspiration and community of a bustling urban art scene.

Sylvester's work is characterized by a playful experimentation with color, form and the texture of paint, in an attempt to make it represent - or break, the living experience.
